Executive Management

FSI Chairman David Simmons has an extensive history in both sports management and execution. Prior to his role at FSI, Mr. Simmons’s prestigious appointments within the Sports Industry include serving as the Chief Operating Officer of the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games and Venue Executive Director, Los Angeles for the 1994 World Cup USA. He has also held senior positions in organising committees for Davis Cup Tennis, the National Championships of Three-Day Eventing (equestrian), Women’s Professional Volleyball and serves on the budget committee for the U.S. Soccer Federation and the grants and oversight committees for the U.S. Soccer Foundation. Mr. Simmons was also a member of the Board of Directors for the United States Disabled Athletes Fund from 1996 to 2001.

Shaun Lucas , FSI’s Managing Director, has years of experience in the installation and adaptation of relationship management software into the sports environment. Working closely with FSI clients such as The FA, the Wimbledon Championships, Rugby Football Union and others, Mr. Lucas has defined and developed the strategies for user-friendly applications in sports which accomplish both increased efficiencies and return on investment. Mr. Lucas also has a history of sports operations experience, including a past role in the execution of the ChampionsWorld football tour in the US.

FSI Director of Client Services, Peter Bramley has been providing innovative solutions for more than 10 years. This includes multi million pound project deliveries involving teams of consultants including system integrators to small multi day development and deployment with single consultant/programmers. Mr. Bramley has been working with the leading Sports NGBs throughout the world to understanding their needs and finding solutions for them that allow them to develop best practices and in turn, drive business benefits.

Beth Freeman , FSI’s Director of Marketing brings a broad background in event management, brand development and event-related media relations to FSI. Prior to joining the FSI team, Ms. Freeman served as Firstwave’s director of marketing, leading the company’s branding, lead generation and media relations’ activities. Ms. Freeman was also instrumental in the development of the company’s sports marketplace initiative. Previous sports and event experience includes managing media relations and promotions for several professional golf tournaments, directing Olympic sponsorship programs and leading the development and branding activities for the Technology Association of Georgia.

 
 

First Sports International Advisory Board

Alan I. Rothenberg, is known throughout the world for his participation in professional and amateur sports. He served as president of the U.S. Soccer Federation for eight years and was Chairman and CEO of World Cup USA 1994, and is the founder of Major League Soccer ( MLS). Mr. Rothenberg’s distinguished sports history includes being a past member of the National Basketball Association (NBA) Board of Governors, serving as sport commissioner for the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Organising Committee, and chairman of the 1999 FI FA Women's World Cup.

Charles H. Battle is one of the most well known Olympic sports figures in America. An attorney by trade with the firm of Miller & Martin, Mr. Battle has a deep history in International Sports and has served as a key figure in the Olympic Movement for the past 20 years. Most recently he served as the Managing Director for International Relations for the New York City 2012 Olympic Bid. Mr. Battle was the architect of the successful international campaign by Atlanta that won the right to host the 1996 Olympic Games. He served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, was a member of the IOC Evaluation Commission for the Games of the XXVIII Olympiad in 2004 and was a part of the IOC Sports for All Commission. He is a recipient of the prestigious Olympic Order for outstanding contributions to the Olympic Movement.
