In 2004 the Rugby Football Union selected FSI as its proffered partner in embarking on what was named internally ‘Project Trafalgar’. This project saw the RFU boldly seek to implement a business wide top down fully integrated and all encompassing IT administration system that was to be known as Rugby First.
Beginning with Membership and Player Registration, soon followed by Discipline Management, Competition Management, Referee Allocation and Management, from the professional game on down to the grass roots level the RFU utilises the FSI solution to deliver unparalleled service to its membership and stakeholders. Using the FSI CMS gateway the RFU delivers its core business administration software down to clubs and community level Rugby in order to ensure volunteer workload and direct costs to the amateur game are minimised, whilst simultaneously reducing the central administrative burden and improving the quality and integrity and security of information.
